All this screenshots have been taken on DirectContact version 0.3 in Windows.
DirectContac's Main Menu
The main tab is opened and you can see the My Address feature which provide an address for your computer, as well as the settings buttons.
On the left there is one tab for each service: My Contacts, My Photo Albums, My Files, and My Pages.
My Photo Albums
You can see on the screensot how easy it is to publish a photo album online. Type a name, select a directory with .jpg files, select an album title, and it is accessible online! All your friends can browse through automatically generated thumbnails.
My Files
This service enables to share directory and files online. By pressing the "Add" button the user is promped to select a directory on its hardrive, it will be automatically publish online.
My Contacts
This service maintains a list of your friends having DirectContact installed. You can see who is online, and access to their photos and files in 2 clicks!
It is also very simple to add a contact to your contact list
Security
Of course, you can set access control to each service. By clicking on the "Security Manager" button of the main tab you can set allowed user name and password for each services. By setting a password to the "homepage" all services will be protected.
Managing Services
It is easy to enable/disable the services you want. By using the "Service Manager" windows you can enable, disable, and uninstall the services that you wish.
Adding New Services
You can add new services to DirectContact by selecting a service in the "New Services" window and pushing the "install" button. It is that easy, no need to restart the application! This way you can keep your DirectContact up to date at any time.
Changing Skins!
You can easily customized its look. DirectContact comes with more than 40 different skins!
System Tray Icon
DirectContact's window can be closed and DirectContact will still be runnin in the background. You can see the icon in the System Tray. To definetly close DirectContact, simply right click on the system tray icon and select "close". But attention, your friends can only access your albums and files when you have DirectContact running.
